Ground Truth Press is committed to publishing works of both fiction and nonfiction that are grounded in the truth of the necessary saving grace of Jesus Christ and His redemptive work on the Cross on our behalf for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.
Bonnie Lyn Smith is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief at Ground Truth Press. For several years, she was a weekly columnist at Your Tewksbury Today and Your Dracut Today and the managing editor and chief blogger at Espressos of Faith. After years on the editorial team at market research companies, she decided to work the other end of the business from start to finish, authoring and publishing her own book in 2014: Not Just on Sundays: Seeking God’s Purpose in Each New Day. With years of editing and writing experience, she brings to the table the small-business approach to helping new authors through the self-publishing process without the high costs of a traditional publisher.
All books published through Ground Truth Press will be distinguished among self-published works by having a press name and associated ISBN. All royalties belong to the author upon publication. All author services, including publishing, are paid up front via PayPal. Ground Truth Press does not make a profit after the initial agreed-upon financial arrangement for services, either a la carte or packages.

Editing estimates vary due to book length, type of genre, time frame requested, research/expertise involved, and level of editing (basic or heavy). On average, a 150-page book requires 15 hours of editing. During the assessment process, Ground Truth Press will itemize services required and anticipated time and cost. Services will begin on an agreed-upon date after 50 percent payment is made on the original estimate. The publisher will keep you informed of any anticipated extra costs throughout the process.
Cover art and marketing are the responsibilities of the author, although Ground Truth Press will promote the book on social media, blog, and web sites for free.
